Reaching Out

RCA believes that even though we are a small school, if we all work together we CAN make a difference!  We work with the students throughout the year to teach them the importance of giving and volunteering within the Community.  We believe that our Community includes the RCA Community, Guelph and the surrounding area and extends out to all nations.  During their time at RCA all students are given the opportunity to find one or many charities that personally motivate them to want to give of their time, effort, and/or financial support. This is an intrinsic part of the RCA motto and is one way in which we teach the students to live out their faith daily.

Students learn that even the smallest donation can help someone in need through our weekly giving at our Wednesday Chapels.  Each month RCA students support a different local, Canadian, or international charity.  We have been blessed to have many representatives of the charities come in to speak to the students over the course of the years enabling the students to understand where their money is going and how it helps others.  After graduation students have gone on to encourage their high schools to start supporting charities that they have connected with at RCA, such as Operation Christmas Child.

RCA students are active fund-raisers, participating and running a number of different events for various charities.  The students are not only encouraged to reach out to their community with financial giving, but also with acts of service.  The entire school, works together to perform a Christmas musical each year.  We are thrilled that our audience has grown over the past couple of years as our students provide the community with a wonderful musical and theatrical opportunity to reflect upon Christ's birth.
